Perfect Murder events can be held in virtually any venue, throughout the UK and Europe. We perform hundreds of events each year in venues as diverse as exclusive-hire country houses, hotels, bars, restaurants and private homes.  We have also performed on trains, aboard boats and at outdoor events and festivals.

Because we work all over the UK and abroad, we are unable to offer assistance with venue-finding.  There are specialist companies that can help you find the perfect venue for your Perfect Murder:

Yes, you can choose from one of our specially-written murder mysteries. Once we have details of your event, we will suggest which of our stories would be suitable, you are then free to make your selection.

Our events run in real-time, meaning the murders occur during the course of the event. Our killers are very clever, so although you will see the results of their crime, you won’t see WHODUNNIT!

You can hold a murder mystery any time of day. Lunchtime and even breakfast murder mysteries are not unusual.

Guests need somewhere to sit and they need to be able to interact and chat freely. Being gathered around dining tables achieves this.

Our murder mysteries require guests to be seated at dining tables.

Our murder mysteries should run over a meal. We do not perform a play and we do not expect guests to sit in silence while we perform. Being full of food and drink is not conducive to a fun and interactive event.

A murder mystery relies on language and plot, so any guests without a firm grasp of English may struggle. We do not work from a script so we cannot offer printed versions of our Murder Mysteries.

Yes, we have several murder mysteries that are set in this period. HOWEVER, we specialise in classic English murder mysteries, so Gangsters and Molls are not quite our style! We don’t offer ‘pastiche’ plots (Murder at Fawlty Towers, Allo Allo, Upstairs Downstairs etc). There are companies out there that do, just not our thing! Our murder mystery plots are written in-house and are based on the best of the English murder mystery genre.

Yes, you will be sent a Story Outline so you can let your guests know the theme of the event if you wish. Your guests don’t need to know anything in advance and if you prefer to keep your Murder Mystery as a surprise, please let us know.

That’s entirely up to you. Our actors will be costumed appropriately according to the story, but you and your guests can wear whatever you prefer. If you don’t fancy sourcing full period costume for yourself, modern eveningwear is usually a safe bet.

We strongly recommend the murder mystery runs over dinner as it was designed to work around the dining table. It’s easy for everyone to chat and share their information this way and ensures everyone will be relaxed. All of our storylines are designed to fit around a meal and the stories assume everyone will be seated for dinner.

No, the murder mystery runs in real-time. Speeches, raffles and prize-giving should be saved for afterwards.

We charge £250 to create a bespoke plot. We usually recommend choosing one of our tried and tested plots for your event, after all, people are after an escape from the humdrum everyday and there isn’t anything funny about manufacturing bulldog clips.

Yes. We always quote a total price that is full inclusive of everything required for a successful murder mystery.
